More J2 comment fic!

I wrote a couple more comment fics for it today, and, seriously, why have I never done these things before??
1. Jared gets shin splints from running too often and the doctor tells him to stay in bed, Jensen helps with the boredom:
Jared hates it. He hates having to stay in bed for the weekend, even though he knows that aggravating his shin splints will do him more harm than good. He hates not being able to move through his usual routine. He needs to run, he needs to work out. He's an energetic guy, and Jensen? Jensen knows it. Which is why Jensen is only bringing him bland snacks when he gets hungry, since Jensen knows that Jared's usual intake of candy and sugar will send him bouncing off the walls. It's why Jensen brings him cups of decaf when he begs for coffee. And Jared hates it.
He hates it until Jensen brings in all of Jared's favorite movies, puts one on, and curls up in bed with him, a soft contented smile gracing his face. And that's when Jared realizes that this is a preview of things to come; that this is how the two of them will spend their time together when they're old, gray, and retired, and working out and stressing out are things that no longer matter. This is a preview of what he has to look forward to. And he likes it.
2. Jared finally convinces Jensen to grow his hair out:
It starts with subtle clues. Well...as subtle as Jared gets. Like, he leaves an old picture of Jensen from his Dawson's Creek days on the counter in Jensen's trailer and writes over Jensen's face, "Look at those luscious locks! ;)" The trouble is, Jensen's not falling for it. He leaves the same picture in Jared's trailer and scrawls under Jared's poor handwriting, "Alliteration will get you nowhere." Which is why Jared needs to just come out and say it.
"You should grow your hair out."
"Mmhmm." Jensen doesn't even turn away from the TV, shoving another handful of popcorn in his mouth, and Jared reaches for the remote, flicking the damn thing off in the middle of a movie. "DUDE!" Jensen shouts, hands flung out towards the TV, and Jared just ignores that Jensen just spit popcorn everywhere. It's not like he's never done it before.
"I said, 'You should grow your hair out.'"
Jensen chews, swallows, and stares at him. "Why?"
"Because it looks good on you." Jensen snorts and Jared sighs, crossing his arms over his chest and pouting. "And because it's totally not fair that I don't have anything to grab onto while we're fucking, and you do."
"I can't help it if Sam has handlebars," Jensen says, shrugging. "Besides, I can't grow out it out. Dean doesn't have long hair, dude."
Jared sighs and sulks, but almost forgets about it when they break for the summer. They're both taking some time off, but somehow don't find the time to get together, and Jared becomes more concerned about the fact that Jensen might be avoiding him. He's back at his house in Vancouver just before the start of season five with butterflies flitting around in his stomach, waiting for Jensen to walk through the front door. He wonders if Jensen will walk through the door, or, if he does, if he'll be letting Jared down easy, telling him that he realized just how much he didn't want this over the summer. He freezes, all thought ceasing, when he hears the key in the lock, the dogs perking up as familiar footsteps move towards the living room.
"Hey."
Jared looks up at the sound of the soft voice, and his mouth falls open. Jensen's eyes keep flicking from Jared to the floor, bottom lip caught between his teeth as he blushes slightly, looking even more nervous than Jared felt before he'd walked in the door. Jensen's hair...Jensen's hair is soft and long, covering and curling over his neck, strands of it falling into his eyes, framing his face. It isn't styled or gelled, but natural, and Jared's rendered speechless by the mere sight of it.
"Shit," Jensen curses suddenly, shifting from foot to foot. "I look like an idiot, don't I?"
Jared shakes his head dumbly as he gets up off the couch and moves towards Jensen, threading his fingers through the soft strands and pulling Jensen closer. "No. No, you look...God, Jensen." He kisses him, his heart thumping in his chest with excitement at how it feels to be able to grasp Jensen's locks and hold him like this while their lips part against each other.
Jensen looks dazed when they break apart. "You know," he says slowly, licking his lips, "This isn't gonna last long."
"I know," Jared says, grabbing Jensen's hand and leading him to the bedroom.

the second made me laugh, because I'm actually planning a fic for a challenge where Jensen will have long hair XD
I even have the pic ready to be manipped, so if you know someone who could do it for me...*nudges*

And I so wish I had someone to refer you to for manips...I kind of wish I had the skills to do them, because it would be so much fun. Maybe I'll have to get on that. :P
