Summary: Jared wonders why Jensen mentioned his text message in an interview.
Author's Notes: This is quite obviously based on the text Jensen read to the interviewer for Venice magazine. Couldn't resist. :P
“I can’t believe this is in print,” Jared says for about the fiftieth time, holding up his copy of Venice magazine. He’s equal parts shocked and amused, with just a hint of worry and excitement. “Seriously, Jensen,” he insists, holding the opened page out to him, as if he’d never seen it before. “I never expected to see this.”
“I was there,” Jensen says, grinning and pushing the magazine. “I know what I said.”
“So, you just…told them?” Jared asks, as if he’s still expecting for all of this to be some kind of trick. “Why?” Jensen just looks over at him and shrugs.
“Because it made me happy.”
Jared sits there for a moment, totally flustered, because it can’t be that simple. But it is. Maybe it was risky and obvious, but that was all there was to it. Jensen tried to appreciate the small things in life, but even for him it was rare for the small things to make him feel at ease. But that one text from Jared - Hey, dude, thinking about you, hope it’s going well. Kick ass. Enjoy. - had made his day and rid him of all the anxiety that he felt during interviews. It was nice to feel the connection between them even when they were apart.
Jared’s look turns thoughtful then, and he pulls out his phone, looking at it intently as he presses buttons and scrolls through messages. Jensen quirks an eyebrow at him but doesn’t say anything. Whatever’s coming is bound to be good.
“Wanna lick you open and fuck you so deep,” Jared says, reading one of Jensen’s text messages off the screen. He looks up at Jensen, eyes wide and innocent. “That makes me happy. Does that mean I can read one of these in an interview?”
