Summary: Jensen wants Jared to stop breaking things.
Author's Notes: So, we all know Jared broke his left hand first season and right wrist (?) second season right? Good. This is set after the second incident, second season.



“Let’s not make this a theme, huh?”

“What’s that?” Jared asks in response to Jensen’s question, turning to watch as Jensen doodles on his cast.

“That you break something once a season. If the show keeps going, make sure this doesn’t become a habit.”

“I’ll try not to,” Jared says, smirking. “What are you so concerned about it for?”

Jensen’s quiet for a minute, doing his damnedest to fill in every inch of the cast, and Jared wonders if Jensen realizes the damn thing’s coming off today.

“Because I don’t like seeing you hurt.”

It’s a bit of a quiet confession, and not what Jared expected. He expected some crack about how Jensen has to pull more weight on the show now because of Jared’s handicap. Instead, he got this, Jensen glancing up at him with a look he’d never seen before. And then it’s over, Jensen’s sarcasm clouding the open look he’d held and hitting him full force.

“And because Dean’s sick of carrying all the weight, here. Nobody likes a weak link, Sammy.”

“I can see right through you, you know that?” Jared says, and he almost bites his tongue, because he really didn’t mean to say that out loud.

Jensen just smiles.

Hi, this is going to sound stupid.

I know when Jared broke his wrist second season, but when did he break his hand first season?

Like, did it show up in any of the episodes? I dont remember that... Or did it happen afterward?

Not stupid at all! He broke his hand early in the first season, but didn't get the full cast or anything, so it didn't show up in any episodes. But if you've ever heard the story about J2 getting jumped early season 1, and Jared getting ganged up on, and Jensen going back to help him? That's when he broke it. There's video somewhere of him during an interview, where he sort of has a bandage on it between takes and stuff. I don't remember which one it is, though...
