So, I now have real internet! Buuut, I dropped my laptop at Best Buy for their Geek Squad to do a data transfer from my hard drive to an external. Turns out, the hard drive is completely dead. All is lot. I will now go cry ALL OF THE TEARS.

I just...There is stuff I can never get back. Anybody know if a place exists that can get a hard drive to spin again? :( :( :(

Guess I'm doing some rewriting for this thing. <|3

So sorry! When my hard drive froze, I really wanted to cry, and not just in the sense of the expression. I was on the verge of breaking down and crying and hyperventilating because I had stuff on the hard drive I had *never* backed up. Luckily, my hard drive wasn't toast, so my brother was able to pull off all the files to his computer, and saved them to a jump drive for me. Then, I went out and bought an external hard drive, more jump drives, and I haven't backed up one damn thing. Guess what I'm about to do? If you're lazy at backing up like I am, it's pretty easy to email yourself your stories, that way you have them saved on an external site. I know that doesn't help you now, but it's something to save your future files and writing. Good luck.

Aww! *hugs* Well, I do know how terrible it is, now! The bitch of it is, I'd been thinking about getting an external for a while, but was saving up money. I bought one when the laptop crashed and tried reseating the hard drive, freezing it, etc., to try to get it working again to transfer things, but it didn't work. :( At least I have one now to back things up with! Thank you!
